Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,

It is my privilege and honour to be appointed as the Secretary General of the E. Ahamed Model United Nations Conference 2024. I wholeheartedly extend a very warm welcome to you all to the 8th edition of the conference hosted at Indian School Al Ghubra.

E.A. MUNC has been built on the strong foundation of unity and diversity of our predecessors, for unity is what gives us the power to create an impact, and diversity is what enables us to acknowledge and respect different opinions. From the very first edition of the conference, our delegates have showcased the spirit of change, envisioning a world that is just and sustainable for themselves and for future generations. Amidst the chaos that ensues in today’s divided world, our agendas unite delegates in addressing the need to collaborate and combat critical global issues.

“One World, Many Voices-Reconstructing Broken Unity” is not only the theme for the conference but also a motto that we should adopt as the youth that takes the world by storm. Despite being divided by land, borders, religion, race, war, and politics, we are all actors on the same stage with the responsibility to give back to our society.  No voice is louder than the other, and no role inferior. If we perform our duties right, we can rebuild what has been destroyed, making it resilient to any destructive force. 

 We don’t grow when we keep on repeating what has already been done. We grow when we create something new. It’s our time to contribute diligently and consciously to uplift the lives of each and every living entity on this planet. This is how we shall make our life worthwhile.

I hope that through this conference every delegate is able to reflect on the ideal world they wish to see, come up with resolutions that provide lasting solutions and through consensus, unite in passing them. Let us do the very best of our abilities, for right this moment onwards we are all the leaders of tomorrow.

Greetings Delegates and MUN Faculty Advisors,

My name is Sanjana Kuzhivayalil Praveen, and it is my privilege to be appointed as the Director General for the 8th edition of the E. Ahamed Model United Nations Conference 2024. In this rapidly developing world, where boundaries between nations have faded due to the rapid exchange of ideas, cultures and technology, the need for unity has been even more pressing. 

When I first stepped into the world of MUN, I was introduced to a kaleidoscope of diverse perspectives, with each delegate having a unique voice in this discussion. The conferences I attended weren’t merely a replica of diplomacy; it was a catalyst for personal and global change, and I am grateful to have been a part of that incredible journey. 

The theme of our conference, "One World, Many Voices - Reconstructing Broken Unity," is a call to action for all of us world citizens to engage in thoughtful discussions, forge meaningful connections, and work collaboratively towards a shared vision for a more united world. In the face of global challenges, our collective voices have the power to mend the fractures that threaten the fabric of our shared humanity.

The challenges we face today are complex and multifaceted, requiring a united effort from individuals, communities, and nations. Our world is diverse, with a plethora of perspectives, experiences, and voices that weave the tapestry of humanity. It is this very diversity that has the power to propel us towards a future marked by inclusivity, collaboration and shared prosperity.

As we spend our time here during this conference, it is imperative for us to acknowledge the shared challenges that we all face. Together, let us embark on a journey towards a future where the co-existence of diverse voices is not only celebrated but serves as the driving force behind global transformation. I look forward to welcoming all of you to the E.A.MUN Conference and exploring the boundless possibilities that this conference holds.
